-
Turn the robot on its side and unscrew the 2x Wheel Pod Retainers on each side of one of the Wheel Pods using a Phillips 1 screwdriver.

Inspection
-
Remove any visible debris or hair stuck within the wheel rollers.
-
Push the Inner Motor Pod up. It should move freely and easily and spring back up when pushed.
-
Try and shake the wheel up and down (toward the inner wall of the Wheel Pod).
-
Inspect the rubber on the Wheels. Rotate the wheel so that you can get a good look at all the rollers.
-
Inspect the cable connected to the back of the motor. Make sure it is in good condition and not worn.
-
Inspect the inside of the empty Wheel Pod slot on the robot. The connector should be in good condition. If this connector is missing or damaged, contact Tailos Support.
Re-installing the Wheel Pods
Each Wheel Pod is marked with either L(Left) or R(Right). The position of the connector on the Wheel Pod indicates whether a Wheel Pod is L or R.
The wheels should be aligned to form a diamond using the direction of the wheel rollers shown in the image below.
-
Re-insert the correct wheel pod into the slot carefully, making sure that the connector on the Wheel Pod lines up with the connector on the robot.
-
Align the 2x holes on the first Wheel Pod Retainer with the 2x holes on the robot body and tighten the 2x screws using a Phillips 1 screwdriver.
-
Align the 2x holes on the second Wheel Pod Retainer with the 2x holes on the robot body and tighten the 2x screws using a Phillips 1 screwdriver.
- Repeat all the steps in this article for the remaining 3 Wheel Pods.
